The Toucan Project supports students to build better lives through access to education, vocational training and internship opportunities. The students we support come from disadvantaged backgrounds, and they are known as Toucan Fellows.
The Toucan Project works alongside our ecosystem of trusted partners to embolden and give access to higher education to students, refugees and to give the #nextgen of global leaders of the future a voice.
The Toucan Project helps young people move back into education and onto gainful employment and fulfilling careers. We support partners who deliver on the transition from NEET to education, employment and fulfilling careers.
Changing one young person’s life has a very positive impact on their families, friends and community. The next generation leaders who start a business create jobs in the community, create a Halo Effect that permeates society, radiating outwards.
To maximise the socio-economic benefits of the Halo Effect, The Toucan Project ensures mentorship support/life coaching when young people join their respective programmes.
We provide support and engagement whilst on the programme and follow-up upon completion of programmes and continue connecting and convening through our staff and partners.

The Toucan Project works through a partnership model, providing grants to trusted partners with excellent reputations. Partners identify students meeting eligibility criteria and are selected and supported jointly by The Toucan Project and our partners.
